NSSD’s National Honor Society for Dance Arts Raises Funds for Dancers Against Cancer

At The Next Step School of Dance, we believe that dance is about more than steps and stage lights—it’s about community, compassion, and making a difference. We're proud to share that our National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) members recently embodied all of those values by raising an incredible $1,352.00 for Dancers Against Cancer, a cause that holds a very special place in our hearts.

We are proud to be recognized as a Dancers Against Cancer HOPE Studio, joining a national network of dance studios committed to supporting dancers and their families in the fight against cancer. As a HOPE Studio, we pledge to raise awareness, give back, and stand with members of our dance community during their most challenging times.

Our NHSDA students chose to support Dancers Against Cancer because they understand how fortunate they are to pursue their passion. They wanted to stand in solidarity with dancers and dance families who are facing the unimaginable—battling cancer while holding on to their love for dance.

Their decision to give back was born from deep gratitude and a desire to uplift others in the dance world. Through fundraising efforts, outreach, and awareness, our dancers showed just how powerful it is when young people use their art and their hearts to make a difference.

This generous donation is more than just a dollar amount—it’s a reflection of the empathy, leadership, and unity that runs through our studio family. We are endlessly proud of the compassion our NHSDA members have shown and grateful for their reminder that the spirit of dance lives strongest in moments of kindness and giving.
